After studying many approaches, we chose intensive training in the Imago approach to relationships.
Imago helps us understand why we picked our partners and why we keep doing the same old dances.
Wıth the aid of Imago we understand the unconscious purpose of our partner selection, why we sometimes pick the “perfectly incompatible” person for us and why this is a good thing!
We reframe our conflicts as struggles for growth and waking up. We realize what seems like a sign of failure is actually often the best thing that can happen to us, if we work through it with intention and kindness.
With this lens, we address communication and interaction patterns in order to restore frayed connection and the drive for development and integration, both within the relationship and individually.
Imago forms the foundation of our work that leads to individuals and couples crafting supportive, meaningful and liberating relationships.
One of our specialties is working with clients in cross-cultural relationships. ( In addition to our professional experience we draw from personal experience, being that Matt is from the U.S. and Banu is from Turkey.)
We offer sessions both individually as therapists as well as intensive sessions for couples where we sometimes work together.
We also offer Imago workshops for groups and communities. Feel free to contact us if you’re interested.
